It was a tough game for the Madison JV girls. The game was for a great cause. We raised a lot of money. The highlight of the game was when Cori Queen got to come in to serve for a few points. It was a surprise her getting to go in. The coaches didn’t tell her until a few points ahead of time.
It was really hard all of us trying to talk her into warming up because she didn’t want to take the balls away from the other girls. This caused her to miss her first serve. However, she made it up with her serving a few more times and making them great serves. This was such a special moment for her and the whole team because she had surgery on her ACL and it was her first time in all season.
They fought very hard but were just short of getting a victory. The JV and freshman joined together for the game since Perry didn’t have a freshman. In total there were nineteen girls that played for Madison. It was a big defeat the first game, however, the second game was very close.
There were two liberos and they were Angel West and Savanna West. They were both very scrappy and worked hard in the back row. The gym was very loud with the varsity team and other fans cheering them on. It was a very good game and they worked very hard.
Overall it was a very good game and they fought really hard. Hopefully next year they can take back the jug.
