The Madison band participated in the Drumline Band Bash and competed with other schools to have the best performance. Only the percussionists participate in all 6 schools. Each school plays their fight songs and try to get votes from the audience to win. One dollar from the audience means one vote.
At the end of the competition, Madison did their best but Riverside came and stole the win. Some students say that Madison should have been the winner, for example Brooke Howley said: “Madison should have won 😄“
But overall every band had put on an amazing performance and had definitely done their job at entertaining the audience. The students that went to attend all have positive things to say about the event. Student are describing the event as epic, fun, and entertaining. Even the judges were shocked at how great Madison did. One audience member even paid 30 dollars at once for Madison!
Bands who played also did more than just playing in their performance. For example Madison put their band members in different formations like an omega. A performer was even turned upside down while playing! Other schools did popular dances which were pretty fun to watch.
Our band also had an amazing time while playing for the crowd. One member from the band says this: “It was a great way to help the community through something fun and exciting,” said Kyle Wood. I and the other spectators wish that Madison performs again.
