Dancing for Gold

By: Dominique Palker

The Madison High School Dance team has a competition this weekend, Sunday, March 10th, at Lake Erie College. The four girls are excited and ready to go, all ready to place first and bring home another trophy. At the girls last competition at Findlay High School, the girls brought home first place in both of their team events, Pom and Hip Hop. At the Lake Erie competition they are performing their Pom dance.

Rylie Moran, the only sophomore on the team, said, “It's going to be exciting, but I'm not ready to wake up early”. Rylie was on the dance team last year, and plans on continuing with it next year. Rylie is also in Track, she does 4 by 4 and long jump. She also enjoys riding horses with her mom. Hailey Willis, junior on the dance team, is also excited about the competition. She said that she’s ready for her last performance of the year. Hailey doesn't play any other sports but, she goes to Auburn Career Center for half of her school day.

Since this is the girls last competition they want to make it count and make it one to never forget. They all plan on dancing next year and bring home more trophies. They hopefully are going to do more competitions close to home so that more people can come and support our girls. Since there are no seniors this year the girls will all continue to get better together and make next year count the most.
