More Events Coming Up

Here are more volunteering opportunities coming up for Key Club. If you are interested in volunteering for anything, please let Mrs. Kilpatrick know as soon as possible.

Spring Clean-Up- Several volunteers are needed to clean everything in the Madison Schools District. Chores include wiping down desks, sweeping floors, scraping off scuffs and more. It is on May 4 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. See Mrs. Kilpatrick if you're interested.

Kiwanis Father-Daughter Dance- The Kiwanis Club is looking for at least 10 people to help with set-up (3:00-6:00 pm), the actual dance (6:30-9:00 pm) and clean-up (9:00-10:30 pm). The dance will be held in the MHS cafeteria. Pizza will be provided. See Mrs. Kilpatrick if you would like to help.
End 68 Hours of Hunger- Students in need of food are given backpacks of items for the weekend every Friday afternoon. End 68 Hours of Hunger supports many schools throughout Lake County and are now able to service our entire district. If you know someone who would benefit from this program, let Mrs. Kilpatrick know or drop off a note to Mrs. Grimes. If you'd like to volunteer to help out, see Mrs. Kilpatrick as soon as possible.

Barrie Beth Boutique- A mini clothing department at Cornerstone Friends Church for those in need of clothes. If you help, you will sort out and bag clothes. This is open every Thursday from 5:00-7:00 pm. Call 428-6868 if you are available to help.

Making word parts for Easter eggs- The Madison Preschool needs help making word part Easter eggs for the preschoolers by splitting a word into two parts and gluing them on both halves of an Easter egg. If you're interested, let Mrs. Kilpatrick know and she will get you supplies.

Track meets- Madison Middle School has two more home track meets and needs volunteers for the concession stands and timers. They are on April 18 and April 23. Both meets start at 4:30. See Mrs. Kilpatrick to sign up.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Outdoor Y- Volunteers are needed on April 13 from 1:00-4:30 pm to hide eggs, help children with the Easter egg hunt and run games. See the bulletin board outside of Rm. 103 to sign up.

Special Needs Soccer Program- Several people are needed to help out with a soccer program for special needs kids. The season runs from April 27-June 15. Games are on Saturdays from 10:30-11:30 am at Stanton Park. If you're interested, see Mrs. Kilpatrick to sign up.

The following events require filling out an application and must be received one week before the event date. Go to HAvolunteer@holdenfg.org and download the student application form. You can also call 440-602-8003 or see Mrs. Kilpatrick if you have any questions.

Easter Egg Hunt at Cleveland Botanical Garden- Volunteers are needed to assist the Easter Bunny with hiding eggs, help with bubble stations and dyeing eggs, run games, do crafts and more. The event is on April 20 from 8:30 am-12:30 pm.

Plant Sale at Holden Arboretum- Help bring purchased plants from vendor booths to the pick-up tent, organize plants in the holding area and assist with parking. The event is on May 18 and 19 from 9:30 am-1:00 pm or 12:30 to 4:30 pm and is held outside rain or shine.
