Congratulations to Senior Allison Schultz, who earned the honor of representing the Class of 2019 at
Commencement as a Co-Valedictorian with a 4.571 GPA. Allison will have the opportunity to present
a speech to her classmates during the graduation ceremony.
Allison was surprised and thrilled when she was notified of being named a Co-Valedictorian.
Allison was thankful for the recognition and believes both she and Marcus Horton (her
Co-Valedictorian) deserved it for all of their hard work and effort.
Allison set several goals for her high school career and finishing at the top of the class was one of
them. She was able to make her dream come true and check that achievement off of her personal
to-do list. From Allison's point of view, she said it shows that all of her hard work during the past four
years of high school paid off and she feels that it is a great accomplishment.
Allison does not know what she is going to discuss in her speech and admitted she hasn't
thought too much about it yet. There is no doubt, however, that her speech will be a meaningful one.
When Allison was asked if she has any advice for future seniors regarding school or life in
general, she said to "take one task at a time, but still remember your biggest goal." Allison also
encouraged the students of Madison High School "to be themselves."
Kudos to Allison for earning this fantastic honor. Her dedication and drive is something to aspire to.
