Sharky Marky

By: Jordan Pasalaqua

Mark Hribar is a Sophomore at Madison High School, he has been on the Madison Boys swim team for two years now, and also participates in Soccer and Track. On Saturday, February 2nd the boys team went to another WRC meet at Perry. Mark came in second place in the 200 free with a time of 1:57. He also competed in the 500 free with a time of 5:24, came in first for the 200 IM, first for 200 medley relay, and lastly he came in first in the finals with a time of 52.8 seconds.

Before every race Mark likes to slam the block to pump himself up and get hyped. One of his favorite quotes from his fellow teammates Collin Douglas is, “The only person stopping you from success is yourself”. This year Mark has earned 3 WRC medals for all the WRC meets they’ve competed in. Another thing that makes Mark stand out is that he is very interested in Eclectica, he loves singing and playing piano for the Eclectica group.

Marks High School goals are to beat some of Greg Pristov’s records before he leaves, and to score very well on the ACT. His High school highlight is when he first performed in Eclectica, he said that it was a very special moment for him. Freshman year the Eclectica group made it to Sectionals and that has pushed Mark every since to make it to Sectionals for swimming.

In the future Mark wants to go to Case Western and pursue a career in engineering. On his free time he likes to play many video games, play piano, and the guitar. Marks favorite movie to watch is Thor Ragnarok and he also loves watching the Indians.
