Rivalry Night

BY: Jordan Pasalaqua

This Thursday, September 21st your Madison Girls Volleyball team are going to be facing their rivals, the Riverside Beavers. This game will be played at Riverside, the Riverside Beavers having the home court advantage. The record for this years Madison Girls Volleyball Team is  7-4. Their conference record is 1-3. The Riverside Beavers record this year is 10-0, our Madison girls know that this is going to be a really tough match. The girls have been working really hard at their practices throughout the week and are ready to win this conference game, but unfortunately last year our girls volleyball team lost to the Riverside Beavers.

For the Madison Girls Volleyball team they have to work on not to hesitate to the ball, they need to communicate more on the court and they also have to stay positive throughout the whole game. The girls expectations for this game are to at least make it through four games or more and play hard throughout the whole entire game and make no mistakes.

This years captains for the girls volleyball team are Aly Berry and Emma Burkholder they are both seniors this year and hope to make this year the best year. Aly Berry brings positivity to the team and also encourages girls to never give up on a play or a match, she also leads by an example. She hopes the girls can compete and win a match even though the Riverside Beavers are one of the toughest teams in their conference. Emma Burkholder also brings positive spirit to the team, she brings good leadership and she has great respect for her fellow teammates. She hopes the girls can pull a win for this Thursday's game and be the first ones to beat Riverside for this season.
