Mark Primer is a four year two way starter for the Madison High School football team. Many people know who he is but not many people really know who he is. To start off with, Mark is both a great student and a great athlete. Here at Madison High School he has a 4.5 GPA. He’s gotten an academic player award for WRC for three straight years. When asked what his favorite subject is he simply replied science. With being a football player I asked him who his favorite NFL football team was. He replied sternly and wholeheartedly with “Browns”. His favorite player is one of this year's NFL draftees Miles Garrett, who plays the same position as him. Another little fun fact about Mark is that his favorite movie is the first Spiderman. Mark is very loved by his peers. So much that he is on the homecoming court as one of the runners for homecoming king.
He's not only king in school, but also a very well known king on the field. This year, so far, Mark has had sixteen tackles, eight hurries, one sack and four tackles for loss. Last week’s game Mark switched things up and played a tight end for the first time. He did excellent getting four catches at and over 60 yards. When asked what his favorite memory this year was he said it was beating Geneva this 2017 season with a final score of 28-21.
In Mark’s not so far future he says he's hoping to go to Michigan State or Toledo State. He hasn’t really considered going to any other school and he doesn’t prefer to go to one instead of the other. Both of the schools are looking at him for the eligibility of a scholarship. For his college major Mark is planning to major in mechanical engineering. Mr. Gillian says without a doubt, “Mark is getting a scholarship”. All Mr. Gillian could say about Mark was “He’s a great student athlete. He’s the true definition of a student athlete. He’s a great example for younger guys. He's a captain. And he’s an exemplary figure for guys to look up to”. Mark Primer is truly a role model no matter where he is or who he is with.
