JV Football, Facing Our Rival

The Madison Blue Streaks football team played their rivalry, the Perry pirates this past weekend. The boys look forward to this game all season. They give it their all to try and bring the little brown jug home to Madison. This is our 70th year playing against the Perry Pirates hoping every year to bring the brown jug home. This game means a lot to the coaches, the players and the community.
Due to the horrendous weather on Friday, the game was cancelled and moved to September 16th at our home field. The boys were prepared to bring home a victory. The Madison JV football team prevailed with a 28-26 victory. Charlie Wade had two interceptions, one to win the game. Mike Colaneri led the defense in tackles. Cruze Tolsdorfe helped to keep the chains moving at running back with multiple good runs. Freshman Andrew Molnar had a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
These boys are off to such a great season and we are hoping for more victories. They work hard and never let a loss affect how they will play the next week. The team is continually willing to improve their skills. They work hard for their playing time and to show the coaches that they can be accountable as a teammate and player. The JV boys are doing great! Keep up the good work boys, it shows!
