So far for the Madison boys soccer team are three and one, being undefeated in their conference. The lads fought hard for a victory over Brush high school with an ending scoreline of four to two with goals by Fabian Ruiz Diaz(2), Gage Vannoy(1), and CJ Kessler(1). Currently the boys are tied for first in the WRC with Mayfeild.
Coming up the boys will be hosting Cleveland Heights for an intense match up that will be very hard fought by both sides. Last year Madison narrowly beat Cleveland heights with a scoreline of 1-0. This will be a very important game for the lads as they look to boost their record, and increase their rank to be higher up in the crop.
When talking to Justus Albert he says the key to beating Cleveland Heights is, “ We need to display teamwork, communication, and show our chemistry out on the pitch.” Later this week the lads will have another home game and host Wickliffe highvschool, looking to put another team to rest and improve their record to 5-1. They already have had a really great start to their season and are hoping to continue with the excellent play they have displayed. If the boys team can keep up the momentum and confidence they have gained by winning both WRC conference games, they are looking at a very bright and glorious season.
