As the beginning of Friday night lights comes about, the 6 seniors of this years cheer leading squad start to reminisce. For these ladies cheer has always been a big part of their lives. And they are in disbelief that it’s their bittersweet, final season. This week we take on the Geneva Eagles. They have high hopes for this years football season. And have confidence in our teams ability to succeed.

While talking to the seniors, they continued to tell me about how much this sport means to them. They stated it’s helped them to make some of the closest friends they will ever have in high school. And to really express their school spirit in a way others can’t. Senior, Tiffany Hammond stated to me, “ It is all coming so fast and ending too soon, but I know this season will be the best yet for not only our football team, but our competition and cheer squad as well”.
During football season, cheer competition season is underway too. Last year they brought in many wins and multiple trophies. They are all optimistic that even more trophies and awards will be coming their way.
The ladies are very excited to get this season underway and will do as much as they can to make sure the football team is feeling confident and full of school spirit!
