Running XC with Brandon Rockwood

Brandon Rockwood is a senior cross country runner at Madison High School. He started to run cross country his junior year which now makes him a two year member of the sport. Brandon has his varsity letters in track as well as cross country and he runs all year round. His best time for running was at the Berkshire Early Bird Invite this year and he ran a time of 16 minutes and 56 seconds. Brandon has accomplished to place 1st at time trials, 4th at War on the Shore, 3rd at the Berkshire Early Bird Invite, and 1st again at their most recent meet at Kenston. His favorite memory from the previous season was definitely making new friends on the team since it was his first year running cross country. He also enjoys the runs on summer break with his teammates and describes them as his favorite. He explains how the team was really fun and how all the teammates had a really good sense of humor. Brandon currently has a 4.0 weighted GPA and he hopes that it will not change as he describes himself as a procrastinator and since this is his last year in high school and his last year on the track and cross country team he hopes to make the best of it. It’s one of Brandon’s dreams to go to college and run for a college team. Although before he makes the decision of running for a college team he would like to drop his best time quite a bit so he is working his hardest to get there now. In Brandon’s free time he enjoys things like biking, walking, and hanging out with friends.
